There'll be music, music played with abandon and spontaneity, and
music taught with purpose and discipline. There'll be ideas, and
ideals, spread around the "Stick Camp" community by inspired students
and teachers. Over and above that, there'll be a friendly meeting of
minds coming from all musical genres and styles, all concentrated on
the common goal of Free Hands musicianship and a certain striving for
excellence in performance (making music with both hands and heart).
I'm looking forward with great anticipation to this large European
event and will do my best to give to you my best music, instruction,
ideas, ideals, intricacies of Stick history, manufacture and setups.
And of course there's always those special conversations that go well
beyond learning.
Welcome from sunny SoCal to the sunny island off the Spanish east
coast (same latitude, lots of longitude) where we'll all be
congregating next September.
